So when I find I want to play something on my tenor, I just use Photoscore Lite to scan the pdf (or hard copy) of the sheet music, clean it up in that app if and as needed, and then export it to Sibelius, where I can add all the notations, articulations, lyrics, symbols, etc that I may need.Īfter watching the new Peter Jackson Beatles documentary, I found myself wanting to play Across the Universe. I've collected a lot of them over the years, often with accompanying sheet music, for use with C, Bb and Eb instruments.īut many of these do not have the sheet music for Bb instruments, for example. I am a late bloomer / hobbyist who only learned to read music late in life and I mostly play along at home to backing tracks.
I am not in need of the expensive full featured versions, as these free versions handle all my requirements and then some. They have been really helpful to me for my needs. I have been using the free versions of Sibelius and Photoscore Lite, and have been extremely happy in how much these can do.
